For decades we built systems that recorded what happened. Dashboards that summarized it. Meetings that argued about it. The work of understanding a company still lived in people’s heads and in spreadsheets they didn’t trust.
AI changes the arithmetic. A model can read every ledger, contract, and thread in seconds. But without a shared picture of what the business actually is, it hallucinates — confidently, expensively. The bottleneck was never intelligence. It was legibility.
